Slip and Slide

A while ago a neighbor set up a slip and slide in their yard. Aria loved it...

Emmett's quick scoot

We've seen him get up on his knees for a second, but he falls down to his belly and continues his scoot. I'd say he's getting pretty good at it though! He's definitely got some speed.

OBX pics

We had a lot of fun down in Duck, NC - here are some pics from the week:

Emmett's favorite pastime — sticking his fingers in my mouth

"This is an excellent vintage of milk."

This cloud showed up immediately after a storm on Saturday. Pretty cool looking.

Still collecting sticks after all these years!

A day of milestones...

Today Emmett had a busy day. He started waving, clapping, he imitated da-da and ma-ma, and army crawled/scooted! We've been working with him on those things, but he just hasn't been to interested until today. He's 10 mo in 4 days. Good job, buddy!

I tried to catch some of it on video...

Aria hasn't fallen out of bed!

Aria requested that we take the rail off her twin bed. We were hesitant at first, but just as we followed Aria's requests for no diapers as night, we followed through with this. She knows better than anyone when she's ready! So Friday night the rail was removed and there hasn't been any issues. I did put a comforter on the floor just in case. I told her if she made it a week without falling out of bed, I would remove it. I was having flash backs when she first slept in the bed (a couple days before the rail arrived) and she fell out of it :-) Oops.

At 3.5 she's sleeping in a big girl bed grown up bed! She's growing up so fast!

Ready. Set. Go!

Ready. Set.
Go!
Emmett says, "Gooooo, big sister!"
Aria spent the weekend at her grandparents a while back. We came on that Sunday to pick her up. It was beautiful that day so we went outside a bit to enjoy it. Aria ran up and down the driveway like 30 times! She's so silly.

edit: that's Doogan in my hand, not a raw chicken. and my head is bald because that weekend I shaved it for the Fairfax County Police Association's St. Baldrick's event
