Aria's Drawing

Aria drew this picture in a journal she created at school. She showed it to me this evening. I love the fish bones and the cat's happy face...it makes me smile. It's so fun to see her drawing skills develop over the years.

What's fall without a visit to the farm?

Emmett was a dragon and actually liked wearing his costume...he is a bit particular about things.

Aria was Silvermist. Which is one of Tinkerbells many friends. This was all her idea.

We got the kids' school picture proofs today. I know I'm biased, but I can't stop smiling whenever I look at them. :-)

This last one I KNOW was all Aria's idea.

Aria lost her first tooth!

After about 2 weeks, Aria got tired of having a loose tooth, so she pulled it out herself at school yesterday. She was so excited when she woke up the next morning, and the tooth fairy left a note, and a WHOLE QUARTER!

Pee pee in the potty!

Emmett's been increasingly interested in the potty these days. For the past month he's been using the "little potty" the same time as big sister does before bath in the evenings. He's usually successful about half the time. After he goes, we all join in a "Pee pee in the potty!" song and dance. He loves it! Aria loves to get into it too, which I think get the most reaction from Emmett since he really looks up to her.

This morning was a first. He woke up with a dry diaper! We asked him to use the potty and after some encouragement, he was sitting up on the "big potty" and going! Yahoo! Go Emmett!

Emmett turned 2 (7/16/11)

Emmett is 2!

This is typical Emmett. Squashing the ants.

For his b-day we kept it low key and just had family over (including cousin Felipe, yay!) He had a robot theme party.

Everyone loves a balloon!

Each kid got a little remote control robot.

Emmett did a great job blowing out his candles. So great that we lit them again so he had a second chance!

No cake for Emmett, he only likes the M&Ms (and thank goodness because we found out that he's allergic to egg whites)!
